1. Summary
- Monthly plans: no refund for partial months; cancel any time, access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Annual plans: 7-day satisfaction-window refund from the date of first purchase or upgrade; after that, no refund on the remaining term.
- Downgrades mid-cycle: no pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the higher tier; the new tier takes effect at the next renewal unless stated otherwise.
- Cancellation grace: cancelled accounts can be reactivated within 30 days with data intact; after 30 days, Customer Content is deleted per the Privacy Policy.
- Fraud / chargebacks: follow the disputed-charge process below before initiating a chargeback.
2. Cancellation and 30-day grace period
You may cancel any time from account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
After cancellation, AMS retains Customer Content and account state for 30 days. You can reactivate within that window by re-subscribing; your data and configuration will be restored automatically. After 30 days, Customer Content is deleted from primary systems; backups expire on normal rotation.
3. Refunds
3.1 Monthly subscriptions
No refunds for partial months. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid further charges.
3.2 Annual subscriptions
7-day satisfaction window. If you cancel an annual plan within 7 days of first purchase (or of an upgrade from monthly to annual), you can request a full refund for the current term. After 7 days, the annual term is non-refundable and you retain access through the paid term.
3.3 Mid-cycle downgrades
Changing to a lower-priced plan does not trigger a pro-rata refund. The downgrade takes effect at the next renewal; until then, you keep access to the current tier’s features. Changing to a higher-priced plan is prorated against the remaining period where technically supported.
3.4 Service failures
If the Service materially fails to meet its documented capabilities and AMS does not remedy within a reasonable period after notice, AMS may, at its discretion, issue a refund or credit for the affected period. This does not limit non-excludable consumer guarantees (e.g., under AU Consumer Law).
3.5 Abuse, fraud, or AUP termination
No refund is due for accounts terminated for AUP violations, fraud, chargebacks, or non-payment.
4. Disputed charges
Before initiating a chargeback, contact billing@auramediastudios.com with the transaction ID and a description of the dispute. We aim to respond within 10 business days. Most disputes can be resolved faster than the card-network timeline and preserve your account in good standing.
Unresolved chargebacks may result in automatic suspension pending resolution. If a chargeback is later withdrawn or found in our favor, we may reinstate the account and invoice for the disputed amount.
5. How to request a refund
Email billing@auramediastudios.com with:
- Account email.
- Transaction ID or invoice number.
- Reason for the request.
We will confirm receipt and respond with a decision within 10 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe; processing time depends on your bank.
6. Consumer rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your rights under mandatory consumer-protection laws, including:
- EU Consumer Rights Directive — right of withdrawal within 14 days for distance contracts, subject to the digital-content waiver if applicable.
- Australian Consumer Law — consumer guarantees cannot be contracted out; remedies available for major failures.
- California / other US states — applicable auto-renewal disclosures and cancellation rights.
7. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy. Material changes apply to purchases made after the updated date.
